Re-Elect Anthony Weber

I have been a resident of Avon for over a decade. During that time, my wife and I have enjoyed watching our children progress and graduate from Avon Public Schools.

I have dedicated my life to teaching for over the past 20 years.  Whether it is in the classroom or on the wrestling mat as a coach, I believe in the power of service and collaboration.  I have had the honor of serving on Avon’s Town Council since 2019.

When I’m not teaching or coaching, I oversee day-to-day sports operations at the University of Hartford’s summer camp. I enjoy the outdoors and hiking, working around the home, and riding motorcycles.

Why I’m Running

I am running for re-election as a caring and invested resident of Avon who will strive for: transparency in governance, developing and connecting our vibrant and diverse community, and ensuring a place that all are welcome to live, work, and play. I believe in citizen governance and that creative solutions to our most challenging issues can come from any stakeholder.  I believe in a town that works for all residents. As a member of Avon’s Town Council, I am committed to bringing the same pragmatic and solution-based approach that I have implemented in my classroom to the council chambers.

As Avon grows and changes, it is important that our town leaders think and plan for a sustainable future for our children, attract new commercial/business opportunities to existing zoned spaces in order to increase the grand list and keep our taxes low, and find creative ways to bring our community together.

Thank you for voting Anthony Weber for Avon Town Council on Nov. 7.
